The United States has provided $9 billion in military aid to Ukraine since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in late February.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. foreign aid agency, announced on the same day that it would provide an additional $4.5 billion to the Ukrainian government.

These funds will be used to maintain the basic functions of the Ukrainian government, such as supporting the poor, disabled and refugees in Ukraine.
